Initial consultation: $199 — a working review of your books and what they need. The fee is credited toward your first month's retainer when you engage us.
Client policies
Effective date: October 5, 2026
The $199 new-client consultation is a one-time working review of your books and needs, delivered in the session itself. It is credited in full toward your first month's retainer when you engage Accounting with Integrity within 90 days. As a standalone service, the consultation fee is non-refundable once the session is delivered.
Bookkeeping retainers are billed for services as they are performed each month. Prepaid funds are held in our firm's client trust account and remain your unearned funds until applied against an invoice — so if you cancel, any unused balance in the trust account is returned to you within 30 days, less fees earned through the cancellation date.
Third-party costs passed through at cost (software fees, filing fees, postage, etc.) are not refundable once incurred.

Client policies

Accounting with Integrity, L.L.C. is a Michigan bookkeeping practice founded by Sharlita Jackson, providing monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, catch-up and cleanup, AP/AR management, and operations consulting to small businesses and law firms.
We provide accounting support only — not legal advice, and not tax preparation or tax filing unless separately agreed in writing. Specific services, fees, and scope limits for your engagement are set out in your engagement letter, which controls over this page.
Services are billed on a flat monthly retainer plus pass-through of third-party costs at cost. New clients remit an initial upfront payment, held in our firm's client trust account and drawn down as each month's invoice is billed. Work beyond the agreed scope is billed at $100/hour unless your engagement letter states otherwise.
You agree to provide complete and accurate financial records and to deliver monthly documents by the 5th of the following month. Late or incomplete records may delay your close and reporting.
Either party may terminate with 30 days' written notice. On termination, final fees are billed through the termination date and any unused trust-account balance is returned within 30 days.
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for decisions you make based on financial reports, or for penalties resulting from late or incomplete records you provided.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
